Census Affiliate Program
The Cuyahoga County Planning Commission is a designated census affiliate of the Office of Policy Research and Strategic Planning, which acts as the state government liaison to the U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. As an affiliate, we receive demographic, economic, and social data for northeastern Ohio, with an emphasis on Cuyahoga County's cities, villages, and townships.
The following tables highlight data for each municipality in Cuyahoga County, totals for Cuyahoga County, and the six counties that surround it in the Greater Cleveland area. All data is from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing and where applicable, compared to 2000 Census Bureau data.
- Total Population
- Racial Distribution
- Hispanic or Latino Origin
- Housing Units and Occupancy Status
- Community Profiles
American Community Survey
The American Community Survey (ACS), which was fully implemented in 2005, is an ongoing nationwide survey undertaken by the U.S. Census Bureau. The ACS produces social, economic, housing, and demographic statistics in the form of 1-year (areas with a population of 65,000+), 3-year (areas with a population of 20,000+), and 5-year estimates (all geographic areas, including census tracts).
Population Estimates Program
The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program produces population estimates on an annual basis for the nation, states, counties, and communities using components of demographic change.
American Factfinder, a tool from the U.S. Census Bureau, allows fast access to demographic, housing, and economic data. Detailed data is available from the 2010 and 2000 decennial Census of Population and Housing, on-going American Community Survey, Economic Census (every five years), and the Population Estimates Program.
