MANUFACTURERS

The number of manufacturing firms in Cuyahoga County decreased by 191 firms. Ninety-one of these firms relocated to surrounding counties, but 100 moved from the NOACA region (Graph 2-4).

From 1990 to 1997, 16 manufacturing firms with 468 employees relocated from Cuyahoga County to Medina County. During this same period, three companies relocated from Medina County to Cuyahoga County, a total job loss to Cuyahoga County of 412 employees (Graph 2-5).
